![]() Reid Park ZooThe Reid Park Zoo is an important breeding center for several endangered species. Among the animals in the zoo's breeding programs are giant anteaters, white rhinoceroses, tigers, ruffed lemurs, and zebras. A South American exhibit features a capybara (the largest rodent in the world), piranhas, and black jaguars. Get here early, when the animals are more active and before the crowds hit. If you've got the kids along, there's a good playground in the adjacent park. One of Tucson's most popular attractions, Reid Park Zoo is the 17-acre home to more than 500 animals, including mammals, fish, reptiles and birds from the four corners of the world. Animals are presented in naturalistic habitats. The Zoo features informative graphics to help you find your favorite animal, a zoo key system featuring educational audio messages and trained docents to make your visit more enjoyable. Complete your trip to the Zoo with a visit to the gift shop and snack bar. The Reid Park Zoo is located at 1100 South Randolph Way. The Tucson Zoological Society Office is located nearby at 1030 South Randolph Way. Become a member of the Tucson Zoological Society.
