Major Highways
Tucson enjoys an excellent transportation system. Interstate 10 connects Tucson with Phoenix to the Northwest and El Paso to the East. Interstate 19 links Tucson with Nogales, Sonora, Mexico--60 miles to the south. Interstate 8 to San Diego interchanges 60 miles North.
Air Service
Tucson is served by 10 airlines: Aeromexico, America West, American, Arizona Airways, Continental, Delta, Northwest, Reno Air, Southwest, and United.
Tucson International Airport, which serves as an International Port of Entry, offers 66 domestic non-stop flights per day serving: Phoenix, Dallas, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Orange County, Chicago, Denver, El Paso, Albuquerque, Ontario, Houston, San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Minneapolis. An additional 51 weekly non-stop flights to Mexico are available serving Hermosillo and Guaymas.
Not only does Tucson International Airport offer connecting flights to the aforementioned cities, but also to an additional 90 cities throughout the world.
Rail Service
Tucson is serviced by Southern Pacific Railroad, which operates fully mechanized ramp facilities in the area and by 35 trucking lines, all of which maintain terminals in the metropolitan area. Overnight services is available to Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, El Paso, and Albuquerque. There is also frequent East-West service available with linkages to all other rail systems within the U.S., Mexico, and Canada.
Truck Service
Tucson is serviced by 35 trucking lines, all of which maintain terminals in the metropolitan area. Overnight service is available to: Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Phoenix, El Paso, and Albuquerque.
